If you find a hidden dungeon or one of the main dungeons, you just hit matchmake and it groups you up fairly quickly. There's a couple things that I'm really liking and I hope carry over into Diablo 4:ġ. I haven't spent a dime yet, but I'm considering getting the $5 monthly pass if I decide to continue into the end game. I can understand that being annoying if you want to power level like you could in earlier Diablo games. Usually my quests make up the bulk of the level gate (say I'm level 47 and have to hit 51 to continue) and then I have to run around for a bit doing dungeons or searching for loot. I just hit level 50 and it has slowed my progress a bit, but it's nothing too bad. WHAT?!?! Uninstalled.I'm enjoying the game so far. I quit when I found out that you had to buy the loot of the first boss. I wish there was a solo offline mode to save performance, I don't like the party system at all. The open world with people running around really felt it was there mostly to allow whales to show off their expensive skins. I can't imagine a Diablo game where loot is not exciting. Being redirected to a dozen submenus with what I guess are dozens of various premium currencies and battle passes really killed the excitement for loot I had. I kept finding greys/greens with slightly higher stats, very boring. The story seemed ok as far as I played, Dekard cain, cultists, save/kill people. It's obvious the PC version is a thin veiled mobile port. On phone the performance was dreadful, on PC it's smooth but really clunky. The game side of the development is good as far as I can tell. The game really plays like a Diablo game! Which was more than I expected.
I will warn you though, when you select the 60 fps and high graphics options, your phone gets quite warm. I've tried playing on DEX and it's a little funky with the window resizing, but the graphics look similar to the diablo 3 version on xbox one after selecting the image sharpening option - maybe a bit worse. Has anybody else tried this game out yet? I've played for about 10 minutes and it looks pretty damn good on my (tiny) S20 phone screen.
